Stay in Fashion While Staying Inside By Lindy Rublaitus
The COVID-19 virus has people panicking for toilet paper and cuddling up at home without a thought of what they would be wearing for school or work. I know for sure that I’ve been staying in bed or at least near a TV these weeks but I am trying to get out of the habit of slipping into the same 3 pairs of sweatpants and a variety of oversized sweatshirts and t-shirts. I am going to be talking about how to stay comfy but still feel put together without getting off of the couch.
You can wear all of the baggy clothes you want but, if you want to look a bit more put together, try picking items that are more fitted- and that doesn’t mean tight! Find that pair of sweatpants that hit just right on your waist and fit well or throw on a fitted tank top to show off your lovely figure.
Along with a base of clothing, you need a base of color. Shades like blacks and whites are always perfect to set your outfit in motion. An all black base allows for a pop of color to brighten up your look and becomes a statement piece without having to spend the extra money on anything flashy.
Cold? Throw on that oversized knitted cardigan that you love or that sweatshirt you bought in college that hits half way down your thigh. As long as you pair these bigger items with something fitted, your look will snap together and accentuate what you have rather than hide what you don’t. Plus, who doesn’t love all that extra sweater to cuddle up in!
Remember to stay safe and keep others safe by staying inside. It’s a great time to start that spring cleaning or to experiment with your closet!
