If you're like me, you're sitting in a blanket on another cold winter day dreaming of a sunnier day. Don't get me wrong, I love a good dreamy snow. But I hate the cold, and quite frankly I am so over the cold weather fashion. My coping mechanism is well, of course shopping. There's nothing like shopping with a purpose. And for this purpose, a new season ahead. I have settled into the idea of a time capsule wardrobe and am trying to work some more closet staples into my wardrobe. Stay tuned and learn my favorite summer must haves.

As you know I am a sucker for a high heel. They are my day to day go-to's and are the absolute perfect summer shoe. They are great because they can be casual or dressy and can be paired with pants, a skirt or a dress. A strappy sandal that also happens to be a heel is literally a summer need. Make sure to have a heeled sandal on deck this year. Summer is also the perfect season to wear a bold shoe. Something about warm weather means neon colors. So combine the two and bam, a neon high heel. My last summer shoe suggestion is a wooden heel of some sort. I feel like summer is really the only season you can get away with it in the right way. So I personally, like to take advantage of that.

My summer uniform would definitely have to be a mini dress. Don't get me wrong, I sport them year round. But there's nothing like a true mini dress experience. Warm weather means no need for thighs, making it the perfect time to pull out your mini dresses. You can never beat a classic tank top mini dress. They are great on their own for summer and are the perfect layering piece for fall and winter. A Midi dress is also a summer classic, perfect when you're not quite in the mini dress mood, but you're still feeling dressy. Last but just as cute as all the other dresses is a slit dress. I am always here for a little bit of a leg moment, and in the summer sometimes just that slit alone helps you stay cool.

Now like most summer means cropped tops for me. And sometimes I like something to make me feel extra cute in a little crop top. A waist chain or waist beads are the perfect edition to your cropped summer look. Pro tip, if you're going to get ours, the butterfly one is my total favorite. Sunglasses are a summer necessity, and a vintage inspired shape is the perfect nod to fashion. Circle sunglasses are so cute and are the perfect touch of the 70’s style. A time that we can all agree was iconic for sunglasses.I have said it again but I think it's important to say it again. The absolute most iconic accessory for every season is a charm bracelet. If you're looking for a sign to buy yourself something nice, this is it. Treat yourself.
